Auto Loan Payoff Promotion
Official Rules
Promotion Period
Promotion begins on May 1, 2024 at 12:00am, and ends on December 31, 2024 at 11:59pm (the “Promotion Period”).
Entry
By entering the Promotion, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. No purchase necessary to enter. Individuals who qualify for and obtain an auto loan from Sound Credit Union during the Promotion Period (excluding auto loans originated through the CUDL indirect loan process for individuals without an already established Sound membership) will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a payoff of remaining balance on such loan, up to $40,000. Individuals may also enter by providing name, address, and phone number on a 3×5 card and mailing it to: Sound Credit Union, PO Box 1595, Tacoma, WA 98401, Attn: Marketing; must be postmarked before the end of the Promotion Period. One entry per person.
Prizes
There will be one (1) winner who will receive a loan payment made by Sound Credit Union on a Sound Credit Union auto loan, in the amount of the remaining loan balance up to a maximum of $40,000.
Winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries on or about January 6, 2025 and will be notified by phone or email on or about January 6, 2025. Loan must be in good standing at time of drawing and prize notification. If winner does not have a Sound Credit Union auto loan, prize will be awarded upon qualifying for and opening an auto loan, as long as loan closes on or before January 31, 2025. Winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. The prize is not transferable or assignable. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
Conditions
The drawing is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Winner agrees to the use of their name and likeness in publicity without notice or any additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By entering this promotion, the winner acknowledges that Sound Credit Union has the right to publicize and broadcast their name, voice, and likeness, the fact that they won, and all matters incidental thereto. By entering this promotion, each entrant releases Sound Credit Union and its respective directors, officers, employees, agents, and subsidiaries from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, suits, and demands arising from or in connection with its lawful actions in conducting the promotion. Sound Credit Union reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this promotion, in its entirety or in part, should tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond Sound Credit Union’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the promotion.
Tax Responsibility
Winner will receive an IRS 1099 Tax Form in the mail for the value of the prize. Prize winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, local or other taxes, assessments, fees or costs associated with or imposed upon the winner of the prize in this promotion. No prize substitutions or transfers will be permitted.
Eligibility
Open to all individuals who qualify under the entry rules above. Directors, Officers, Supervisory Committee Members, and employees of Sound Credit Union and any immediate family members and household members of such individuals are not eligible to enter. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others. Must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. Business Auto Loans, Auto Advantage program loans, and Toy Loans are excluded from this offer.
