Si alguien en el extranjero le env\u00eda dinero mediante cheque, hable con esa persona sobre la posibilidad de cambiar a una opci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This change is part of a broader, industry-wide move away from paper checks and toward faster electronic payments, as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frbservices.org\/financial-services\/check-services\/foreign-canadian-check-service\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Reserva Federal<\/a> ends its processing of foreign and Canadian checks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"bold\">Other ways to get paid from outside the U.S.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">If you receive money from a person, employer, or organization abroad, here are a few easy swaps for a paper check:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li><strong>International wire transfer.<\/strong> The sender can wire money directly to your Sound Credit Union account. Ask us for our incoming wire instructions to pass along to them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Electronic payment or bank transfer.<\/strong> Many banks and payment services can send funds electronically to a U.S. account, often faster than a check in the mail.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A U.S. check or electronic payment.<\/strong> If the sender also has a U.S. bank account, they can pay you with a check drawn on that U.S. account, or send an electronic payment from it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Not sure which option fits?
