On July 2, 2018, Sound Credit Union revealed a new logo and updated brand purpose statement. The change was motivated by the desire to have Sound’s community and employees better connect with who the credit union is and the financial support and services they provide.
The new logo symbolizes “togetherness” and reflects the colors of the Pacific Northwest. “The logo mark is similar to a school of fish – each unique in its own size and color. At Sound, we believe we all move forward when we commit to creating an inclusive environment welcoming to all”, said Don Clark, President and CEO of Sound Credit Union. “For over 78 years, Sound Credit Union has offered the Pacific Northwest reliable and genuine financial services and in that time, we have learned that our community is stronger when we focus on working together.”
Sound’s updated purpose statement, to stand with you through all waves of life, aims to provide members with a greater awareness of the support and intentionality they offer, while giving employees a clear roadmap for how to live out the values of the organization. Although Sound’s purpose and identity has not changed, it will now be more accurately represented, and will provide a clear focus for the future.
Beginning July 2, 2018, most digital platforms and materials will reflect the new logo. Over the next several months, all Sound Credit Union locations will be updated with the new brand identity.
While Sound Credit Union’s logo and purpose statement have been updated, current members won’t experience any policy or process changes to the high quality of care they receive. “As a member, you can expect the same financial service and support that Sound has been committed to for over 78 years. Other than a new logo on the wall, we are the same Sound Credit Union that is committed to your best interest,” said Clark.
Looking ahead, Sound foresees more opportunities for growth, but is confident this refreshed brand identity and purpose will help their team better live out who Sound Credit Union is for many years to come.
