Shared Branching: Making it easy to access your account
This means you can conduct basic transactions at more than 5000+ shared branching locations across the U.S., plus nearly 30,000 surcharge-free* CO-OP ATMs.

Out of town and need to make a withdrawal? Shared branches make it easy. Sound is a Shared Branching network member and CO-OP ATM Network member. This means you can conduct basic transactions at more than 5000+ shared branching locations across the U.S., plus nearly 30,000 surcharge-free* CO-OP ATMs.

Shared branching lets you make:

  • Deposits
  • Withdrawals
  • Loan payments and advances
  • Transfer between accounts

For shared branching, all you’ll need is

  • your home credit union’s name
  • your account number or member number, and
  • your signed valid government-issued picture identification (ID). Examples of acceptable ID include a U.S. passport or state-issued driver’s license.

For account security purposes, you may be asked to verify

  • the name on the account,
  • your date of birth, and
  • the last four digits of your Social Security number.

If any of the requested information or valid ID is not provided, the shared branching hosting credit union will not be able to assist you—for the security and safety of your account.
