Youth clubs, local schools, parks departments, community festivals, and farmers markets. Large and small, last year we helped over 320 local community organizations buy equipment, create community space, offer family focused activities and more.

$20,000 given to support 40 different local charities and businesses
The Community Challenge program empowers Sound branches and departments to support their favorite charities and small businesses in the Puget Sound.

$13,500 to support local students as they returned to the classroom
22 schools, educational foundations and organizations received $13,500 for supplies as students returned to the classroom from remote learning.

$20,000 in college scholarships awarded
Student debt is one of the biggest financial hurdles facing today’s youth. To help ease this burden, each year, Sound provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning to attend a two- or four-year college.

$92,000 donated to fight food insecurity.
Sound is committed to the Fight Against Hunger. In 2021, Sound contributed a combined $92,000 to local food banks that generated over 450,000 meals for our community.
