290 local organizations supported
Youth clubs, local schools, parks departments, community festivals, and farmers markets. Large and small, last year we helped 290 local community organizations buy equipment, create community space, offer family focused activities and more.

375,608 people came together
In working with community partners at Woodland Park Zoo, Tacoma Metro Parks, and Tacoma Stars, more than 375,600 people were able to have fun and make memories with their friends and families at Sound sponsored events throughout the year.

350 employees volunteered nearly 3,000 hours
Our employees are invested in the communities we serve, giving time to local schools, community groups, and charitable organizations. To help, Sound gifts employees up to 8 hours of paid time to support their volunteer efforts.

$16,000 in college scholarships awarded
Student debt is one of the biggest financial hurdles facing today’s youth. To help ease this burden, each year, Sound provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning to attend a two- or four-year college.

2,000 pounds of food donated to local food shelves
Sound is committed to the Fight Against Hunger. In 2019, Sound contributed more than $11,000 to local nonprofits help people who face food insecurity.

Building financial confidence.
More than 2,300 K-12 students and adults increased their financial literacy at 80 educational events and seminars hosted by Sound.
