Yes, Online Banking is required to use Direct Connect with Quicken or QuickBooks.

To set up your Direct Connect login and password, login to Online Banking, select the Manage tab and click Quicken/QuickBooks under Accounts. Your Quicken/QuickBooks password must be different from your Online Banking password.
